1. ‘Pokémon Sleep’ Aims to Gamify Your Beauty Rest 🕹️

The grandmasters at The Pokémon Company finally launched their quirky new brainchild: Pokémon Sleep, which is now available for Android and iOS. Pokémon Sleep basically converts data from a built-in sleep monitor into an interactive Pokémon game. 

“Playing this game is simple: just place your smartphone on your pillow, then go to sleep. Just like that, waking up in the morning becomes something to look forward to!”

Hmm… not entirely sure placing your phone on your pillow NEXT TO YOUR BRAIN is a good idea. But hey, if it gets you extra Pokémon in the morning, it’s probably fine.

3. New Study: “Weekend Warrior” Workouts  Actually Work 🏋️‍♀️

Researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital found that when individuals concentrate a week’s worth of physical activity into one or two days, it can result in similar cardiovascular health benefits as if you exercised every day during the week.

The study, which represents the largest of its kind, showed that both weekend warriors and regular exercisers had significantly lower risks of heart attack, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, and stroke compared to inactive participants. 🚴‍♀️
